  • Jewish Music Institute (JMI) is an independent arts organisation (non-religious), established in March 2000, after 18 years of successful operation under the name of the Jewish Music Heritage Trust. JMI is a national focus bringing Jewish music to the mainstream British cultural arena for people of all ages, backgrounds and cultures. With links to many Jewish music sites.
  • Ilana Cravitz and the Hopkele Band – Hopkele Productions was established in December 2005 by Ilana Cravitz and Guy Schalom to promote live, interactive peformance of Yiddish music and dance. Otherwise known as ‘Klezmer Keilidhs ‘R’ Us’! They will be joining us to perform in Sheffield on 25th Feb 2007.
  • Daniel Cainer – an amusing singer, songwriter, story-teller and musician – singing about his Jewish Roots – and other Anglo-Jewish stuff. Listen to his recent “Jewish Chronicles” – amazing!
  • The Burning Bush – a popular Klezmer and Sephardi music band – who tour the UK – with Lucie Skeaping
  • Los Desterrados – a UK based band singing and playing Jewish Sephardi music – definitely worth listening to!
  • Jewish Music Distribution – a UK web site selling all forms of Jewish music on CD – and sheet music as well – with lots of supporting information about Jewish artists.
  • Klezmershack – Avi Davidow’s (american) web site – with up to date news about Klezmer music – and links to other sites
  • Israel Folk Dance Institute – The London based Israel Folk Dance Institute (IFDI) was established in 1979. It promotes Israeli and Jewish culture worldwide through training courses, short courses, workshops, weekly classes for adults, young people and children, educational activities as well as dance festivals and special events. IFDI supports an adult premiere dance troupe – Oranim and youth troupes Nevatim & Nitzanim. IFDI is a major source of dance information and training materials.
