Welcome to Seven Hills Shul.
We are a small, friendly, multi-generational Reform Jewish community based in Sheffield and the surrounding areas. The community was set up in 1989. Since then, although we have neither a synagogue building nor a rabbi, we have been committed to building a vibrant community. We run all of our own services and events ourselves with support from our Community Development Worker and occasional visits from Jewish educators and Rabbis.
We offer a wide range of social, cultural, educational and spiritual activities throughout the year to celebrate Shabbat, mark the festivals, deepen our Jewish journeys, engage in inter-faith work and uphold the value of ‘Tikkun Olam’, Repair of the World. We offer programming for families, younger adults, older adults and everyone in between. We hold services and events most weeks.
Seven Hills Shul is affiliated to the wider Movement for Reform Judaism and people of all genders play a full and equal part in our ritual and leadership. We warmly welcome Jews of any sexual orientation and gender identity, Jews of any denominational background, and any level of Jewish knowledge (including those with no Jewish education at all) as well as non-Jewish family members and other non-Jews.
We always look forward to welcoming new faces whether you are in Sheffield for a short visit or you have made it your home.
